The remodelling and extension of a house in West Wimbledon Conservation Area. The extension
infilled an area of sunken garden to the rear of the property resulting in a much larger kitchen,
dining and garden room. An existing extension was also altered and re-glazed with Crittall-type
steel windows to be read with the new extension.
From inside, large rooflights and rear glazing bring natural light into the new space and allow
uninterrupted views to the garden. The view out is framed by a planted green wall to the left and a series of landscaped planted terraces to the right which mediate between the high level lawn and low level terrace, embedding the new living space in the garden.
